Cheese Danish Bars

Cathy's Recipe

  • 2 cans of cresent rolls (I use Pillsbury regular)

  • 2 (8oz) packages of cream cheese softened

  • 1 1/4 cups of sugar (seperated to 1 cup and 1/4 cup)

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup butter melted

~Preheat oven to 300. ~

~ Take 1 can of cresent rolls (do not tear apart) remove 1 of the sections, there will be two. ~

~ Place into bottom of ungreased 13x9 pan and then the other section. ~

~ Pat and push as best you can so that most of the dough is all around the bottom of the pan, don't worry if it does not completely cover mine didn't either but it worked. ~

~ Take the cream cheese, one cup of sugar and vanilla and mix with mixer until well blended. ~

~ Spread over rolls already in pan. ~

~ Take apart the other can of rolls in the same manner as the first and place on top of the cream cheese mixture. ~

~ In another bowl mix 1/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon. ~

~ Melt butter in small saucepan. ~

~ Pour melted butter on top of the mixture in the baking pan and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon. ~

~ Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes. ~

~ Let cool down and serve either room temp or chill in fridge and serve cold.
