Cathy's Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of cresent rolls (I use Pillsbury regular)
- 2 (8oz) packages of cream cheese softened
- 1 1/4 cups of sugar (seperated to 1 cup and 1/4 cup)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter melted
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300.
- Take 1 can of cresent rolls (do not tear apart) remove 1 of the sections, there will be two.
- Place one section in the bottom of an ungreased 13x9 pan, followed by the other.
- Pat and push as best you can so that most of the dough is all around the bottom of the pan; don't worry if it does not completely cover—mine didn't either, but it worked.
- Take the cream cheese, one cup of sugar, and vanilla and mix with a mixer until well blended.
- Spread over the rolls that are already in the pan.
- Remove the other can of rolls and place it on top of the cream cheese mixture in the same manner as the first.
- In another bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
- Melt butter in small saucepan.
- Pour the melted butter on top of the mixture in the baking pan and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving at room temperature or chill in the refrigerator and serve cold.
