Pumpkin Bread

Cathy's Recipe

"I usually put in a cup of chopped nuts either walnuts or pecans

before pouring into prepared pan Bake as stated"


  • 2 cups all purpose blour

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 2 tsp. baking soda

  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. ground cloves

  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 cup veg. oil

  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 2 cups solid-pack pumpkin puree (not pie filling)

  • Heat oven to 350~

  • Grease and flour 10 inch tube or bundt pan~

  • Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt into large bowl~

  • Make well in center; pour in oil and eggs~

  • Beat on low speed until well blended.~

  • Add pumpkin continue beating until completely mixed in~

  • Turn batter into prepared pan. ~

  • Bake in 350 oven 1 hour or until top springs back when lightly pressed with fingertip or wooden pick inserted in center comes clean~

  • Cool cake in pan on wire rack 15 minutes~

  • Turn out onto wire rack; invert, Cool~
