Turkey Gravy

Helen's Recipes

Use a wire whisk while adding the flour to the drippings for smooth, creamy gravy. You won't get lumps if you whisk the drippings quickly while adding the flour.

Start-To-Finish: 8 mins.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup turkey drippings (fat and juices from roasted turkey)
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour
  • 2 jars of Campbell's turkey gravy
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

  • Pour the drippings from the roasting pan into a bowl, leaving brown particles in the pan.
  • 1/4 cup of the drippings should be returned to the roasting pan. (Measure accurately because too little fat makes gravy lumpy.)
  • Stir in flour. (Measure accurately so the gravy is not greasy.)
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add the Campbell's turkey gravy jars. Stirring continuously, bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Boil for 1 minute while stirring.
  • Stir in salt and pepper.

Enjoy!
