Dorothy's Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups reg sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 small cans evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 sticks butter softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease and flour an angel food pan, a deep springform pan, or a bundt pan. You also need two bowls, one large and one small.
- Mix flour and sugar in a large bowl; stir in softened butter.
- Take a 1/2 cup of the above mixture and put it into the smaller bowl. Add cinnamon and nuts, then set aside. This is why you need two bowls.
- Mix the remaining ingredients in the large bowl mentioned above. Mix Well
- Fill the bottom of the bundt pan with 1/2 of the nut mixture from the small bowl.
- Half of the cake batter should be placed on top of the nut mixture.
- Sprinkle rest of nuts over cake batter
- Add the rest of the cake batter to the bundt pan.
- Bake at 325 for an hour and 15 min
- Let cool on rack for 30 minutes
