My Mother Helen was a cook. She had the knack for creating the most wonderful tasting food and our family gathered around her table every evening to partake in the dishes she lovingly made for us. Thanks mom this blog is a tribute to you.

~Melt butter in saucepan, add flour and stir until mixed well, this will be quite thick. ~
~Add milk or 1/2 & 1/2 and stir until thickens. This will take about 4-5 minutes make sure you stir or mixture will burn at the bottom of pan, ugh. ~
~When done pour macaroni into a casserole dish and add the white sauce stir well. ~
~Take the Cheez Wiz and melt in another sauce pan. ~
~When melted pour over the macaroni and white sauce. ~
~Bake in a 350 degree oven for about an hour. ~
"I usually cover the casserole with foil for the first 30-35
minutes and then remove for the remaining baking time.
This way the cheese doesn't get to brown."
"I've been making this receipe for over 40 years now and am
always asked to bring it to family functions, it is really very good.
A spin off of an old time German mac and cheese receipe. Enjoy!"
